It would cost 10-15+ for govt to hire a doctor (spl) for a year and even less for a general physician. 

So I will leave it to you guys.. I heard some news regarding DCM gaaru travel expenses for visiting the recent martyr jawan cost more than that.. (yes it's important for the public elected politicians and officials to reach their work destinations fastly so that they are more productive, but still.. ) 

The government gets so much funds when they need it for politicians but they are out of funds when they have to provide basic necessities to common people especially the working class. 

I don't think it will ever change.. 

For a politician or a bureaucrat this is how their brains works when they have to provide their services 

Their family and rich friends &gt; their party people/relatives &gt;  upper class people from their caste &gt; lower class people from their caste &gt; upper class from other castes &gt; lower class people from other caste  

This is the never ending cycle, the cycles always stay the same.. it's just the castes get changed based on the power dynamics based on the state and area.

No doubt that we need to improvise our health system I think having a well equipped hospital in district headquarters or the centre of the district which is accessible to every locality or Village which can be reached in more or less than an hour and maintaing a primary healthcare in every panchayat of the district.It may be not that practical but if we start with 22 in 2-3 years then we can double them in upcoming years then every district has a well equipped GH.
Moreover our state has many tier-2,tier-3 cities

While I extend my deepest condolences for the above matter. I would like to make a few things clear, the problem is solely with the society and of course the government. Instead of opting for freebies, if the state focuses on building infrastructure like good hospitals, increasing wages for doctors to make it lucrative, nationalising healthcare to eliminate private healthcare, such incidents could be eliminated. 
I can't target a specific government as it is the same across the country, and states always prioritize the quick remedies like cash disbursement rather than building infrastructure. Also people are so crazy behind freebies that they don't care if society is getting fcked. I hope this changes in the future.

Here are the reasons for current situation:

* YSJ theoretically wanted decentralized development instead of centralized in amarsvati so the theory was to build lots of medical facilities spread out over state.

* YSJ feels private entrepreneurs in medicine is not desired due to ideological reasons.

* YSJ diverted most money to welfare &amp; corruption so these were underfunded and only 5 funded.

In free market private capital is very powerful to boost growth and fill holes in investment needed to build medical facilities. PPP is purely an ideological distinction.

There are more chances of this happening with PPP than not. Whether private players will get benefit is a separate issue.

Ultimately it's good for society due to efficiency of market, economic growth and better health facilities faster. So i expect them to finish by 2029 for sure.

In 2023 , 5 government medical colleges are opened adding 750 undergraduate seats. 

Medical colleges approval is given by MCI. So they cleared and they are opened. It is not that easy to open medical colleges without proper infrastructure like you said. Others were under construction and obviously our KOOTAMI stopped funding them. 

To add to the proof, machilipatnam medical college is renamed to something else in this government.

PPP or Public, getting experienced folks to work in rural areas is impossible. Many talented folks prefer to live in cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Vizag. 

Look at the state of Kadapa RIMS, JNTU Kalikiri. it’s been many years since operational still the quality of faculty and education is poor. 

You can’t expect good doctors and professors to come and work in Paderu far away from urban places by paying mediocre salaries. 

It’s always wise to have tertiary healthcare centers and medical colleges close to the urban centers while focus should be on better connectivity with primary health care in rural areas. 

Govt has the bandwidth to get more than 1 lac crore as debt in a year, but they don't have funds to allocate for the 5 medical colleges which are almost 90% complete and ready to function with minimal funds for rest of the works and even the medical association was ready to allocate 50 seats for 2024-25 academic year, but the state govt asked to withdraw.

What's the status now for 2025-26 academic year? Govt finalized ppp model? Are we getting any new medical seats for our state? If these medical colleges maintained by the govt, students will be able to complete the studies at minimal cost. If ppp model implemented, students fee will be in par with private medical colleges, don't you think the real motto of providing higher studies at minimal cost goes down with this decision?
